Worship…An Unconventional Way
By Tammy on Oct 16, 2008 in Lifestyle of Worship
In the midst of a season immersed in transition, change, instability, uncertainty, amazing deception, and one in which everything we know is being shaken (the corruption that has infiltrated our nation over the past 40 years is being removed and His righteousness and justice will manifest and rebuild), the people who know their God shall be strong and do mighty exploits. I pray that the Body of Christ is in the place of keeping our eyes on Jesus and not on our circumstances; where we speak to bring forth the things of Heaven to manifest on Earth; where we speak the unseen as though it were seen. As a Body we should have true understanding of our Lord’s ways not being our ways; of His ways being unconventional in comparison to the ways of man.
There is no time more important than the present to be worshiping Him with our whole hearts, souls, minds and strength, loving Him and loving others. It is critical we press in to worship our God who is faithful, good, just and filled with compassion; our God who loves us with an everlasting love so incredibly beyond any other love we could possibly know or experience; our God who is able to turn all circumstances to good. We are living in a season where the Words of Scripture must become our very sustenance; its truths contain the blueprints to how we should live in these uncertain times. Jesus said we were to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. His Word is truth in the midst of an historical shaking and we can literally take His truth to the bank…He wants to be our banker…it all belongs to Him anyway. His Spirit is yearning to pour out on the earth in greater measure; to bring those who call on His name and profess Him as Lord to a fullness in Christ that has yet to be seen. It’s in the place of worship that these truths will take hold of us in the depths of our spirits, and begin to empower us to walk in perseverance, strength, peace, hope, joy and all that is needed in these times we are living in.
Worship is speaking what the Lord speaks to us over our circumstances and over our nation; not what the media or the humanistic agenda permeating our schools and universities speaks. Worship is knowing that the Lord will provide and protect us under the shadow of His wings no matter what storm is encircling around us. Worship is declaring His Kingdom come and His will be done and understanding His power to bring all that is good in His perfect timing; there is no lack in Heaven, therefore we believe and call forth no lack on earth; there is only good in Heaven, therefore we believe and call forth all that is good into every circumstance and situation here on earth in the name of Jesus. Worship is believing and trusting that all things are possible with our God and that regardless of how things appear in the natural, He is in control (IF His people are humbling themselves and praying and releasing Him to be in control here on the earth, ruling and reigning through His people; IF His people are praying HIS will be done on Earth and not our own selfish will); IF His people are understanding who they are in Christ and are taking dominion for the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth through the leading of His Spirit.)
Worship is not just going to church. Worship is not just the slow songs we sing after the praise songs. Worship is a verb, not a noun. Worship erupts from the depths of the heart and life of a son or daughter who has embraced and purposed to pursue the Love of this life throughout Eternity; from the humble, thankful heart who understands the depths of salvation and the tremendous gift poured out in His sacrifice on the cross. Worship is what flows from a life focused on loving God, loving Jesus and loving Holy Spirit 24/7, and being in intimate relationship with our Creator. Worship is who we are and what we do as blood bought, Spirit-filled sons and daughters of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Worship should flow continuously from our hearts and from our Spirits as we learn to walk out this life His way, which is so much higher than our way.
Worship is what we must do as this economy shakes and bizarre elections take place. As we worship the One who holds us in His hands He is never too early and He is never too late. Worship the One who wants to reveal His glory to a world clouded in deception and grounded on so many wrong foundations (we are literally living out the parable of the wise man and the foolish man). Worship the One who wants His Kingdom people to rise up and take back this nation for the glory of His name, and advance His Kingdom here on Earth by being the ones releasing the creative arts into the atmosphere, releasing the energy inventions and the medical cures, and releasing the cutting edge in every imaginable area, including media, government, and education (the latter three currently trying to deceive the whole world into thinking it’s all theirs to control and that they determine our course, when in reality they are the ones who are deceived).
Worship…an unconventional way to do battle, yet totally the means by which the mighty hand of the Lord reveals Himself in the times we are currently walking through. Do not fear or despair…worship Him. Do not get angry…worship Him. Do not speak critically or negatively…worship Him. Do not give up and quit…worship Him. Do not believe the media or the polls…worship Him. Do not believe everything the teacher tells you/has taught you when it comes to theology, philosophy, ethics, biology, psychology, sociology, law, politics, economics and history…worship Him (He will reveal and expose unbelievable truths in these domains if you’re willing to go there, including the truths pertaining to Islam…another blog). Do not focus on your problems or circumstances…worship Him…and watch what He will do. The people who know their God know that they know that they know He is mighty to save, and that He delights over His people with singing. Worship…an unconventional way to approach the days we live in, but press in…go higher…every day…worship Him… and watch what He will do!
