Skillful Warriors

The ways of the Lord are higher than man’s ways and His thoughts are higher than man’s thoughts; therefore, our natural minds don’t easily embrace or understand the ways of the Kingdom of Heaven. A Kingdom generation lives by faith not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). The way of the Kingdom of God is being in intimate relationship with Him, seeking His presence, hearing what He speaks, and following His leading. The Lord can then use the gifts He has created, gifted, and trained us with to accomplish things in the unseen realm that will bring the Earth’s needed answers from Heaven’s supply.
Our family has been trained over many years to be worshipers, and to play skillfully on our instruments: piano, keyboards, guitars (acoustic, electric and bass), drums, and singing. When we seek His presence we don’t need to have music or prewritten songs in front of us (although He sometimes uses these); rather we turn to Him to be the conductor and He writes the songs as we seek Him to bring forth into the atmosphere the “now” word needed to be spoken, sung or played that will accomplish “His Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.”
Through spontaneous expression He chooses the keys, the order of songs, the flow of the worship time in the moment, the tempos, the meters, etc.. He has gifted and trained us to seek His presence which bring forth new melodies and new rhythms in collaboration with His written and spoken Word and accomplishes His purposes in ways we don’t have to understand; we just have to take the time and have the faith to believe that He is accomplishing everything He said He would do in ways that don’t have to make sense to the natural mind. Frequencies, whether melodic or rhythmic, when played through yielded vessels become empowered by the anointing of the Holy Spirit; weapons in the hands of a mighty God.
King David understood this. Obeying the leading of His Heavenly Father, David developed an entire 24/7 house of worship, including every one of the instruments used to play in it. Each instrument was designed with purpose and when played, accomplished specific things according to the spoken or sung word. He also instilled an elaborate training process to ensure that every musician and singer were skilled on their instruments. The combination of yielded hearts purposing to live for the glory of God, and trained with excellence on every instrument and in voice, created an atmosphere where the presence of the Lord inhabited the land all those years, sustaining peace and prosperity throughout the next generation’s reign.
The Lord is seeking a generation who will again yield their hearts, their time and their giftings to His leading and training; a generation who desires to display the excellence of God and change the atmosphere with their skill and creative talents. Our family has purposed to be available. We don’t have to understand how it works; just that it does. Our nation is desperately needing peace and answers in the midst of this current storm. We need the peace of God and the wisdom of God to bring manifested answers. (Man’s ways of name-calling, pointing fingers and blaming (have you watched or read anything in the media recently?) obviously do not accomplish anything of good or lasting value.)
Where are all of the godly musicians who have been trained up with skill and excellence? The Kingdom needs musicians who have purposed to be in intimate and obedient relationship with the Lord (a lifestyle of worship), and who have invested the blood, sweat and tears to become skillful and excellent on their instruments. There’s a battle going on and this is the season for the trained warriors to take their place on the frontlines of worship. Watch what He will do when we place our lives and our gifts in the hands of a God who is mighty to save! Purpose to see and hear what He is saying, and to be the vessels who will bring it forth on the earth “for such a time as this!” (Join us for our two upcoming, “Come Heal Our Land” Worship Gatherings…see details under Events.)
