His Manifest Presence

As a Kingdom people, we are to keep our eyes focused on our King and not on the present circumstances going on all around us in our nation. Those of us who have said, “Yes,” to Jesus, and “Yes” to wholehearted abandonment and obedience to the Kingdom lifestyle understand this. Yet, we are moving into a season where we are going to have to walk out what we know and believe on a deeper level than ever before. We are being called to seek His face, call on Heaven, hear, pray and believe for things that we know are the Father’s heart (2 Corinthians 4:18, “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”) when everywhere we look (television, internet, magazines, newspapers, etc.) and when so many we encounter daily are speaking something very different.

As families, we need to be in the Word of God and in the presence of His Spirit increasingly more on a daily basis. In that place, deep will call unto deep, and we will see, hear and receive whatever we need to see, hear, and receive, not only for ourselves, but for others who need to know Him more deeply and/or for those who need to be introduced to Him for the first time; we will receive the strategies of Heaven that will bring His Kingdom to come, His will and His heart to be done here on earth, just as it is in Heaven. Our children not only need to be trained up in the way they should go according to His Word, but they need to be trained up to yearn for and know His presence, and in that place recognize when and how He speaks to them (visions, dreams, Scripture, promptings, impressions, promptings, giftings, etc.). This has to be cemented in the very foundation of their being as we move forward in these days toward the return of our Lord.

Jason Upton is one of my favorite Kingdom musicians. He hears so clearly from the heart of the Lord because he’s passionate about Him and he lives in the place of intimacy (the place we are all called to daily). He writes what he hears and he has an anointing to get inside those deep places of our spirit. (If you don’t have any of Jason’s cd’s I highly recommend that you get one…or all of them…) His song, In Your Presence (“Between Earth and Sky” CD) very much imparts the place Kingdom people of all ages have to find in these days we are living in.

IN YOUR PRESENCE ALL FEAR IS GONE
IN YOUR PRESENCE
IN YOUR PRESENCE IS WHERE I BELONG
IN YOUR PRESENCE

FATHER, I AM WAITING, I NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU
TO KNOW THAT YOU’RE APPROVING OF WHAT I SAY AND DO
‘CUZ NOTHING REALLY SATISFIES LIKE WHEN YOU SPEAK MY NAME
SO TELL ME THAT YOU’LL NEVER LEAVE AND EVERYTHING WILL BE OK

We need to clear our schedules and make daily time as families to be in His presence – together. Nothing is more important. As a Kingdom people, this can’t be just a church thing. If the Son of God modeled it while He walked this earth than how much more should we be practicing His example. Worship, prayer, reading the Word, praying in the Spirit/singing in the Spirit must be an integral part of every Kingdom family; it must be the heritage, the legacy, the foundational essence of our children’s very being if they are going to navigate through these times we are living in and what’s ahead in the years to come.

In addition to Jason Upton cd’s, I highly recommend to every Christian parent, Ron Luce’s new book, Re-Create (Building A Culture In Your Home Stronger Than The Culture Deceiving Your Kids). It’s a great wake-up call to the very real and very current strategies of the enemy to lure our kids. It’s also a great encouragement to those of you who feel like you’re alone on this journey of trying to parent differently than the culture. It’s pages contain deliberate strategies to keep our children on the path the Lord has purposed for them; wholeheartedly His…always. Be blessed!

This is such a good reminder! We truly needed to hear this, as parents, because our kids are our most precious gifts that God has given us. There is great responsibility in being a godly parent & raising our kids for His Kingdom! Our heart’s cry & prayer for our kids, since they were babies, has been that they will serve God, and Him alone, all the days of their lives. This is going to be a challenge in the last days, but as we cover ourselves with the armor of God, we know we will be victorious through Him!

    Thanks for the great article!
