Lifestyle of worship

The desire to be in tune with my Father God’s heart 24/7 is what I live for. Jesus lived the example for us and through the Holy Spirit, He empowers us to walk it out. The more I surrender to His leading, the more I notice the many ways He is speaking to me every day. In the past two weeks, I have been blessed to experience three incredible examples in His creation. We were at Lifelight Festival in Sioux Falls, SD, Labor Day weekend. Sunday A.M. the speaker was asking the question, “Which Jesus do you follow?” It was a beautiful sunny day with extremely high winds. I looked up and larger than life, holding steady in the sky next to the sun, was a cloud in the formation of a descending Holy Spirit dove…it just hovered over us (if only I had thought to take a photo…my Kodak moments are usually afterthoughts). When the speaker moved on to the next point I looked up and the cloud was gone…simply vanished…not broken up or blown away in parts…just vanished.

I was out walking last week praying specifics through the Lord’s Prayer at His leading. I inserted some specific, individual situations and exactly as I prayed the words, “Lord, let me see from an eagle’s perspective to kill the snakes in these circumstances,” (a prophetic discussion for another blog) He prompted me to look to the right. I walk this road 6 miles daily and have for several years. A couple of times I’ve seen baby gardener snakes and once I’ve seen a baby bull snake, but never a huge bull snake lying on the road upside down on the center yellow line, whole as life with only its head crushed (Gen. 3:15). That was on the front part of my walk. It was still whole with only its head crushed on my return, after having passed several cars from both directions. Only after arriving home and being prompted to have another Kodak moment after-the-fact did I observe a huge farm truck crush the entire snake just ahead of my photo…I took the photo anyway.

Yesterday while my husband and I walked on a misty, overcast day, the tops of an entire row of green, lush trees were ablaze with brilliant beautiful orange. We discussed as to whether it was because of fall colors verses the slightly tinted red sunset, which could barely be observed through the haze on the opposite side of the earth. As we turned to walk back, the trees were instantly green again (obviously, the sunset won out). I looked up the meaning of the color orange as His prompting: the color of fire (another prophetic blog discussion for another time), tried and proven, harvest (the harvest is plentiful and I have prayed so many times, “Here I am, Lord, send me!” (Isaiah 6).

My point in sharing all of this…when in pursuit of worshiping the Lord in Spirit and in truth…a 24/7 lifestyle of loving Him with one’s whole heart, soul, mind and strength, He communicates with us personally and specifically in so many wonderful, creative ways…just ask Him…
