Connecting the Pieces
By Tammy on May 27, 2009 in Lifestyle of Worship
The Lord has recently led me to two resources I would like to recommend to everyone in the Body of Christ: The Seven Mountain Prophecy by Johnny Enlow (2008) and The Cry of Mordecai by Robert Stearns (2009). These are excellent reads, as both of these individuals have been given kairos revelation for the benefit of the Body of Christ.
In the midst of uncertain times in our nation, when it “appears” so many things are heading in a “wrong direction,” I am blessed and excited about the multitude of Kingdom events currently taking place nationwide and in our state of Minnesota…we are truly in a season of “seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.” For example, Global Day of Prayer, the last Sunday of May, is currently in the midst of 10 days of prayer and fasting, complete with youth, adult and children’s prayer guides. There is a large gathering in Minneapolis at the Convention Center this Sunday, followed by 90 days of blessing others with acts of service and love. Mississippi Mercy recently released the sounds of millions of aborted children worshiping around the throne of God in Heaven and crying out for mercy and grace for their families; the team traveled for 12 days from New Orleans to Minnesota with prayer, fasting and worship. Each stop consisted of a unique gathering of people; differing in age, culture, worship, prayer, and sound, traveling upstream (against the current) through the heart of our nation. Franklin Graham will be holding crusades along the same path in August. James Goll has launched the worldwide Prayer Storm network, and Chuck Pierce, Zion Connect, which also networks ministries all over the world and has a school pertaining to each of the 12 tribes. I recently came across another Kingdom internet network entitled, King’s Business (this site was revealed to me via a dream from the Lord).
Bob Jones is in the Twin Cities at another event the same weekend as Global Day of Prayer, and Jason Upton is at two local community events (The Outcry) next weekend. Elijah List daily advertises Kingdom events, and I haven’t even touched on individual ministries bearing fruit all over this nation; for example, Redding, CA, Bethel Church, Bill Johnson and all of the churches being impacted by that training. Additionally, there are the important ministries and voices connected with and pertaining to Israel. I’ve recently been introduced to Uri Harel and Music for God. Uri has translated the entire Old Testament mathematically via the Hebrew alphabet into musical tones and colors. God is absolutely amazing and He is very busy aligning the Kingdom for such a time as this!
I’ve not begun to do this list justice, as there’s Voice of the Martyrs, multiple ministries and missions to the poor and needy, Acquire the Fire, IHOP, JHOP, The Call, Burn 24/7, Kids in Ministry International, etc., etc., etc.. We live in a time when the Kingdom of Heaven is truly advancing forcefully, even if we don’t “see” it in the “big picture” of what’s going on in the natural realm of our nation in 2009.
The Lord created us to be in relationship with Him 24/7; to love Him wholeheartedly, and to seek Him, His Kingdom and His righteousness; to hunger and thirst to be like Christ, manifesting His fruits and His gifts by His Spirit; to hunger and thirst for wisdom, revelation, counsel, might, knowledge and the fear of Him; to hunger and thirst to know Him and His love for others. One of the ways He reveals Himself is through His Spirit indwelling people; He gives wisdom, revelation and understanding (pieces) to people for the benefit of other people!
Paul compares the Body of Christ to our physical bodies, and he exhorts us to understand how much we need each other. We have been created to work together as one Body. The pieces all fit together and no one individual or ministry has the main piece (in our fallen humanity that’s what we can handle without falling into all of the “fleshy” traps that accompany receiving it). The Lord designed our individual lives and our individual ministries to connect and function WITH one another; in conjunction with each other’s pieces (1 Corinthians 12:14-31). It’s important to not live isolated from what is happening in the Kingdom, thinking our “piece” is the only relevant piece. Let’s exhort one another to diligently seek Him; to not get into ruts and busyness, but rather seek Him continuously for fresh revelation to fall on us daily; to have our eyes and ears opened to see and hear how our pieces connect to and with one another.
I sense the Lord currently looking down and smiling at all of His children all over the world, observing how each one is excited about and busy with their “piece,” yet He is patiently waiting for each of us to seek Him about connecting His pieces together in this season. He’s building a Kingdom. We have been chosen and are privileged to partner with Him. The Kingdom is so much bigger than each of our own pieces we call “home” or “ministry.” Let’s again purpose to have an eagle’s perspective. If we keep our eyes looking up, the sky’s the limit! From the eagle’s view, the landscape of the individual pieces on earth look very different than they do for example, a snake, a mouse, a fish, or even a rabbit. “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven, all throughout Your Body, today, Lord. Reveal to each of us how You want us to connect with Your Kingdom pieces in this season for the glory of Your name, Jesus!”
