Every Child is a Gift
This spontaneous instrumental song was inspired by Psalm 127:3. The message of the song is contained in my new book, also entitled, No More Orphans! Every child is a God idea, and is therefore a good idea. Every child has been sent to Earth as a gift, and as a carrier of gifts the world needs. Every child is invited to receive our Heavenly Father’s greatest gift of love and eternal life through the sacrifice of His only Son, Jesus Christ. The gift of Holy Spirit within activates and empowers both the infinite treasure of Christ Jesus and the specific gifts He has placed within each individual. These gifts are to manifest and be carried as an expression of Heaven on the Earth.

For the Orphaned
This song passionately expresses instrumental intercession on behalf of everyone who has been abandoned, rejected, discarded, or orphaned by tragedy. The spontaneous music reflects the daily questions and the unknowns in being orphaned: wondering if anyone cares, of survival, and of existence itself. It also carries the promise of Jesus in John 14:18 to not leave us as orphans.

“Does anyone see me? Does anyone care about me? I have dreams of being wanted, of belonging, of being loved. There are so many like me needing to know hope, needing to know purpose, needing to know we have a future, needing to know Love. Does anyone see me?”

For the Poor
This spontaneous instrumental song came from meditating on Luke 6:20-21. Jesus promises the kingdom of God to those who are poor and hungry in this present age. The music reflects the heart of the Father and His promise to fill them according to the riches of His eternal Kingdom of Heaven.

For the Sick
This spontaneous song was inspired as intercession for a precious family standing in faith on 1 Peter 2:24 and the healing of their husband and father. I dedicate this song to the Ted Landmark family, and give glory and honor to our Heavenly Father for this family’s overcoming testimony of faith. Ted is now eternally healed in the presence of Jesus. I pray this song will comfort and heal the hearts of those who must stand strong in faith and walk out the unseen.

For the War-Torn & Persecuted
This spontaneous instrumental piece was inspired by 2 Corinthians 4 and Philippians 4:7. As intercessory music, it reflects the tension, the monotony, and the perseverance of victims who daily battle living in the midst of war and persecution. It is also a prayer for His peace in the midst their storms.

For the Unborn
This spontaneous instrumental piece is wholehearted intercession on behalf of the sanctity of life, and contains a layer of sound intended to reflect life in the womb. For the Unborn represents being a “voice” for those who cannot speak for themselves. The Lord promises covering and deliverance from evil in Psalm 139:13 and Galatians 1:4. Until His heart and will on behalf of these precious and innocent ones manifests on the Earth, a sound must cry out.

Isaiah 61 for the Abused & Slavery
The melody of this song comes from the Hebrew translation of Isaiah 61:1-2, also decreed by Jesus in Luke 4:18-19. Christ in us IS the hope of glory. We are given His Spirit to carry His anointing and set the captives free. The word of the Lord never returns void, and always accomplishes what He sends it to do. This song intercedes for the release and manifestation of the purposes of Heaven on behalf of those who daily contend with the victimization of abuse and slavery.

Uri Harel and the Center for Biblical Hebrew has developed a program entitled, Bible Music Writer. His ministry has been given a revelation of mathematically converting the letters of the Hebrew alphabet from any Scripture passage to music notation, thus literally releasing the musical frequencies of the spoken Word into the atmosphere. Not Forgotten
As I have prayed and played spontaneously for all of the fatherless on the Lord’s heart, I hear His Spirit saying, “you have not been forgotten.” In Luke 12:6, Jesus says, “Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs on your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” Psalms 56:8 gives assurance of our Heavenly Father keeping record of all sorrow and collecting every tear in His bottle. Because of the good news of this revelation decreed in His Word, this spontaneous song reflects a light-hearted dance as the Father sings over each of His precious children.

How Did We Get To Here?

How did we get to here? How did we arrive at this juncture in our nation, or even in our lives? Many people are wrestling with this question to some extent in this season. An even more significant question is: “How do we get to where we need to be?”

There is only one answer, regardless of what government, the media, our educational systems, business and economy, the arts and entertainment industry (including sports), family, and yes, even the church, are trying to tell us. The only true answer: Jesus – period. We must keep our eyes and our lives focused on Jesus more intently and more purposefully than ever before, if we truly desire to get to where we need to be in the midst of what’s going on all around us; in the midst of all we are personally having to discern and walk through.

There are multiple “voices” attempting daily to capture our attention and support: every voice is trying to convince, attract, or direct us in whatever path the experts (man) in that position or field have determined to be the “change,” the “right way,” or the “direction we need to go.” This is precisely why our nation has become so polarized throughout the past season. People have been “blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming” (Ephesians 4:14). Jesus is the only way we need to concern ourselves with (John 14:6). The foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and Jesus is the only way to our great need for God’s wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:25). (In spite of certain political agendas, America’s motto remains, “In God we trust.”)

With all of the reports we are hearing daily (i.e. left media news verses right cable news), how do we really know which one is telling us the truth? Jesus is the only truth (John 14:6, 17:3, Ephesians 4:21,1 John 5:6). Unless He lives in us and His Spirit is teaching us, there is no way to discern the real truth in these times we are living in (John 16:13). If we’re not keeping our eyes on Jesus, and are not being led by His Spirit of Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Might, Knowledge and Fear of the Lord, we are at risk of being deceived by those vying for our attention; those who do not really know Him, and those who are being used by the father of all lies (John 8:44, 1 John 2:22). (There are multiple references and warnings in the New Testament pertaining to our vulnerability to lies and deception. The original sin occurred because of deception (Genesis 3). The devil is a master deceiver and he knows how to manipulate man to deceive and be deceived.) The end result of deception is fear and death.

If we are truly honest with ourselves, we are currently experiencing on almost every level and in almost every sector of society, the fruit of a culture with a spirit of death. Even conservative cable news is not able to speak into a culture of life, because they report and expose “what is seen” from a natural perspective (which is of course, negative or fearful, because “rotten” is the fruit of a culture with a spirit of death). The media is not speaking life and hope into the lives of their viewers (speaking or prophesying the unseen according to the truth of Scripture or to the revelation and leading of Holy Spirit). As Christians, we are being called to a new level of carrying the life of Christ – the fruit of a culture of life – to a world around us in need of choosing life. Unless our eyes are focused on Jesus, the only true life, (John 3:16-17, 14:6), we will not be able to think life-giving thoughts, much less speak life-giving words or carry life-producing actions into our families, schools, workplaces, or communities.

Fact: we are accountable for the next generation. They are trusting the adults (parents, teachers, mentors, and leaders) in their lives to equip them in the way they should go. If our eyes are focused on anything or anyone other than Jesus Christ, we will fail them. In this season, we need to cry out to the Lord, who alone empowers us to keep our focus on Him, and who alone is able to guide, protect, and provide for us. We must stay on the path of truth and life. We need to lead our children and youth on this very path of choosing eternal truth and life. We cannot entrust this generation to our government (not executive, legislative nor judicial), to our educational systems (I have such a burden for our children and youth who are being immersed in humanism, but that is for another article), to the media, nor to the arts and entertainment industry. This is first and foremost, the responsibility of the family (mothers AND fathers), and then, for the Church to come alongside the family to encourage, support, equip, and edify.

We, the Church, MUST NOT COMPROMISE the truth of the Word (for the sake of being politically correct or seeker sensitive), nor can we be complacent or indifferent to this challenge. Let us continue to “press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called us heavenward in Christ Jesus. All of us who are mature should take such a view of things…Only let us live up to what we have already attained” (Philippians 3:14-16). Let us rise up and answer His call to speak and carry Life and Truth throughout this nation and into this next generation.

I awoke one morning earlier this year to the question posed at the beginning of this article: “How did we get to here?” The following words are the words the Lord sang through me in answer to this question:

Transition and New Assignments

Jaran Family Ministries has been blessed to be a family ministry for the past 28+ years, and even more so, over the past 15+ years, as our children have grown up being an integral part of this ministry. However, we like most in the Body of Christ, have been and are currently in transition. We are in the place of receiving new assignments, and are being sent out in a variety of new ways. As we transition into this next season, this site (www.jaranministries.com) will become more of a biographical and teaching site, as our ministry will be taking on various new dimensions functioning as The Arts Express’d (see www.TheArtsExpressed.com).

Our drummer, guitarist, song writer and audio production specialist, Jaran, will continue to be available periodically, but is plugging in at Substance Church in Fridley/Roseville on a more regular basis, as well as following the Lord’s leading for his own calling. Our bassist, guitarist and songwriter, Jadan, will also continue to be available to The Arts Express’d, but is additionally pursuing his own personal call at the Lord’s leading to plug into Evangelist Crusaders in South Minneapolis, Substance Youth Group Worship Band, and the Kelli Rae band; he is also studying graphic design and developing his artistic giftings. Our singer, keyboardist and dancer, Jessa, will be involved in both The Arts Express’d and Substance Youth Group Worship Band; she is adding the study of photography to her giftings. Jenna, Jocilyn and Josiah will be a part of The Arts Express’d as well; Jenna pursuing art, intercession, missions and spiritual gifts; Jocilyn pursuing prophetic dance, creative writing and spiritual gifts; and Josiah pursuing the Word, evangelism and spiritual gifts.

Tammy is currently seeking, receiving and writing specific and detailed revelation from the Lord concerning The Arts Expressed. “Who,” “what,” “why,” and “how” have been revealed, while details pertaining to “when” and “where” are still in progress. When all of the specifics have been completely revealed by the Lord, they will be written on The Arts Express’d site, as well as some of the teachings on this site. Tammy will be teaching The Arts Express’d more independently (equipping the equippers), along with prophetic psalming and worship (imparting, calling forth, activating and releasing gifts in those being equipped to equip others). Kevan will continue to be involved in all of the preceding aspects, as revealed and led by the Lord.

Thank you for your patience and for your prayers as we seek Jesus first; His Kingdom and His righteousness. We know that all things will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33) for the glory of His name!

Our Encourager

“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:5-6

“May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who loved us and by His grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.” 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

If there is anyone of you who needs encouragement in this season, then these two verses were written specifically and personally to you. If there is one thing I am very certain of in this difficult season in our nation, it’s that the Creator of the Universe, our Father God in Heaven, through Jesus Christ, our salvation and hope of glory, in the power of Holy Spirit, our Comforter and Teacher, wants to encourage each one of us personally!

I have been blessed increasingly in measure and frequency with so many varying assurances that I, personally, am on His heart…today…that the Lord of all sees, knows and loves me…that I have not been forgotten…that His good and perfect will, the plans and purposes He has had for me before He even knit me together in my mother’s womb will come to pass…that every word He has spoken is truth and will not return void…that my God is mighty to save (not only for myself and my family, but for the people we pray for; for our nation; and for all the nations of the world).

On a daily basis the Lord is giving me supernatural dreams, songs, Scriptures, people who unexpectedly speak into my life in unexpected places, and having Creation itself (eagles, butterflies, snakes, humming birds, clouds, etc. (read some of the other articles on this site for specific details) beckon to His call at specific times and places to encourage me in the waiting; to continually strengthen me to press in and press through for those things He has spoken over the years, and for things necessary in this season that have not yet come to pass; for those things I know to be true in His Word that have not yet manifested on the earth for specific individuals, situations and destinies I contend for, and for the Kingdom of Heaven to manifest on Earth.

One brief, yet specific example: the Lord has been speaking to me about freedom (freedom in Christ, the freedoms in our nation, etc.) and giving me unique and frequent encounters with eagles. Two weeks ago my husband remarked to me that he had not once gotten to see an eagle on our walks (he doesn’t walk with me every day). A week ago Saturday, I read an article on Elijah List (Lori Salley:”Those Things We Think Will Never Come to Pass are on the Way!”). Salley’s husband had made a similar remark about seeing eagles in their yard rather than only while driving. Two days in-a-row the Lord had an eagle fly across their backyard. The article encouraged people to believe for and expect the Lord to “suddenly” manifest. That very morning, my husband and I saw not one, but two eagles…I shared the article with him after our walk (It was also not a coincidence that the Scripture verse on our website for that exact day was Isaiah 40:31, “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”). Since that day, we’ve seen up to three eagles at a time, either close up while taking off or soaring so high they are barely visible to the naked eye (eliminating the confusion as to whether they are eagles or hawks – a big difference!). The eagle is our nation’s symbol of freedom. It’s also a symbol of the prophetic – seeing the unseen as though it were seen (2 Corinthians 4:18). The Lord is encouraging the Body of Christ to live by the Spirit and walk in the freedom Christ purchased on our behalf, 24/7, in the midst of a season where the freedoms in the natural realm in our nation are being shaken.

If there is anyone of you who needs encouragement for the manifestation and/or fulfillment of something you are waiting on/believing the Lord for – healing, a job, finances, restoration of relationships/time/finances, destiny, or whatever your specific situation pertains to – meditate on the two Scriptures at the beginning of this article. Our Lord and Savior is our Encourager. He is the One who will supply all our needs in Christ Jesus. He is the One who will give us everything we need to persevere – to encourage and strengthen our hearts – because we are the apple of His eye. He loves us more than we can wrap our “minds” around. In the waiting, the strengthening, the persevering, the hoping, the trusting, the believing, etc., He is our glory and the One who lifts our heads. He is preparing us and refining us for something so incredible that we will look back when we begin to see the manifestation of what we’ve been contending for (when we “arrive” at that appointed time and place), the journey of what we had to endure to get there will fade away (similar to the way the process of labor pains and childbirth fades from our memories once we hold our newborn child for the first time), and we will stand amazed and in awe at what only He has done and will do (“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord Almighty.” Zechariah 4:6)

The world is in desperate need of light, hope and love. There is only One who is Light, Hope and Love. He will reveal Himself in power and in glory through a people who are seeking first His Kingdom and His righteousness…all these things are about to be added unto us…on display for a world in need who is being stirred and prepared to seek Him. A generation is being raised up to seek, know and love Him with their whole heart, soul, mind and strength, and to manifest His selfless love (through them) all across the earth.

Be encouraged! Be strengthened! Be lifted up! Be blessed! In Jesus’ mighty and glorious name!

Eagles and Snakes

(This article relates to two previous articles written on this site. Reading “On Wings of Eagles” (4/20/09) and “Lifestyle of Worship” (6/16/08) will provide a more complete picture of the contents of this article.)

I am a walker. Most every day, come rain or shine, wind or snow, I go on a 5-6 mile prayer walk with the Lord. Somehow age has a way of letting one know it’s there, and this past year I’ve begun to notice the toll of walking hills and gravel, as well as a loss of upper body strength. Therefore, my justification for the purchase of walking poles designed to deal with both, as well as burn more calories – who doesn’t want all those benefits? I don’t really struggle with how weird it might look, so yesterday was my first day using the poles. (In my spirit, I sensed the Lord tell me they were also for protection from the dogs and snakes I encounter frequently.)

In my quiet time with the Lord prior to walking, He had made it clear it was to be a “speak, Lord, your servant is listening” day, rather than “listen, Lord, your servant is speaking” day. I’m walking, listening, processing what I sense He’s revealing, and I’m three-fourths done with my walk when I push off on one of the poles that has worked its way lose and is suddenly a foot shorter than the other pole. I’m on a neighborhood paved road at this point and watching for oncoming traffic. With both poles held horizontally in front of me, I am also adjusting and tightening, while attempting to press forward on my walk. All of the sudden, in the midst of shifting too much focus on the poles, I trip over something I most certainly had not seen seconds prior when looking up to check the traffic flow. I immediately turned around to see what I had just tripped over and there sat a “honkin’” three foot bull snake with its head and neck upside down trying to right itself after having been plowed through and stepped on (notice it was the snake’s head again). If I had “seen” the snake I obviously walked right over (or through – I’m not sure which), I would have purposed to go completely around it, rather than walking through it, especially since bull snakes look so much like rattlesnakes to me. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?), I was looking at my poles and not at where I was walking. The thought of it still “grosses me out,” as I am not overly fond of snakes. While growing up, the boys in my neighborhood used to chase the girls with them and whip them at us; this established an interesting attitude about snakes for me.

I asked the Lord if there was something I was supposed to glean from the situation. (If you read the articles I suggested at the beginning of this one, you will have a more complete picture of why I asked that question, and of what I’m about to share.) We are a Kingdom people. We are to look at everything and everyone from Heaven’s perspective, even though we walk through it on the earth in the natural. An eagle’s perspective is the necessary perspective in this realm as we move forward in this Kingdom season. If we take our eyes off of the Lord and start to focus on the natural, the snakes (Satan, our flesh, the things in the natural going on in our nation as revealed/taught to us by natural means and systems, the trials and tribulations of this life, etc.) can and will trip us up. They can be instantly under our feet, leaving us completely unaware and caught off guard. Some of the snakes may appear harmless, but they’re not. Many of the snakes are poisonous and dangerous.

As a Kingdom people, promises in the Word of God speak to the authority we have in Christ Jesus to trample on those snakes (Luke 10:19) and to overcome them. If we keep our eye on the Lord, the snakes will not catch us unaware or unprepared, nor will the snakes trip us up. If we soar on eagles’ wings as Scripture exhorts us to, keeping an eagle’s perspective and view, whatever snakes lie on the road ahead of us will be revealed and exposed, and we will receive Heaven’s strategy to crush their heads (like the snake in the “Lifestyle of Worship” article).

I won’t mention or “speak” about any of the snakes that have manifested throughout our nation. Rather, the Lord’s strategies and ways are so much higher than ours. When our KHOP (see details on the homepage of this site) met yesterday to pray for our nation, the Lord was clear as we gathered to seek His will and pray His heart, that He desires His people to continually speak the truth of His Word into the darkness, and to continually be doers of His Word out in the midst of the darkness. Jesus Christ is the only way, the only truth and the only life, and His light alone will dispel this darkness; His life, death and resurrection crushed the serpent’s head, and His Spirit living within us will reveal and crush the snakes in our nation. As a Kingdom people, the Body of Christ must not only speak the life of Christ into the atmosphere of darkness 24/7, but we must also take the life of Christ in us out into the darkness so He can brightly shine His light through us.

A prophetic generation is being dispersed to call forth the light and life of Christ in this nation; a generation who intimately knows and desires to be obedient to the leading of Holy Spirit. A Joel 2 army is being raised up to expose and crush the snakes in this nation (the snakes are never people, but rather principalities, powers, spiritual rulers of darkness and spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places – Ephesians 6:12). The Lion of Judah is beginning to roar in this generation; a generation who is pursuing a revelation of the perfect love of Christ for our Heavenly Father, for His heart and will, and of the perfect love of Christ for each and every person. In that place, His children in this generation will walk in His authority and in His anointing, and will find rest, provision and protection in the shadow of His wings.

His Kingdom is advancing. The government is on His shoulders, and it will increase without end. Regardless of what we see or hear in the natural in our nation, let’s purpose to keep our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Let’s purpose to be one with the heart and will of our Heavenly Father, and to be one with one another. Let’s purpose each day to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and to soar on eagles’ wings, ascending higher and higher in search of Him and of all that He would reveal to us (Revelation 4:1). Let’s purpose to speak and walk out daily His Kingdom come and His will be done, here on earth, here in the United States of America, here in each state, city and community, here in our churches, our work places, our schools, our families and in our individual lives, just as it is in Heaven. To Him alone truly belongs the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever and ever. Amen

In Your Daddy’s Arms

A week ago our family was blessed to do an arts express’d gathering at our dear friends, Evangelist Crusaders Church, in the Twin Cities. The same weekend I attended the Uprising Prophetic Conference with Jason Upton at Redeeming Love Church in Maplewood, MN. The following Tuesday our KHOP (see details on the home page of this site or at www.TheArtsExpressed.com) met for our weekly pursuit of the Lord’s heart and will to be expressed through the kids and their parents (the elementary and junior high aged children and youth are being given many visions, Scriptures and prayers, as well as new songs and art; moms, too). Three different scenarios of gatherings in the Body of Christ on three different occasions, yet the Holy Spirit was speaking something very similar needing to be received by all ages. Regardless of the varying aspects that occurred throughout these moments in time, the Lord purposed to bring to the forefront a peace that passes all understanding and a picture of Him dancing with His children. (A similar revelation occurred at the Living Waters Church Women’s Retreat in Elk River the weekend prior.)

At the arts express’d gathering, a supernatural peace permeated the atmosphere; we experienced the depths of His love beyond words or description. In the midst of everything screaming all around us in this nation trying to stir up fear, worry, anxiety, stress, darkness and hopelessness, Father God showed up through Holy Spirit and defied it all. The children got visions of angels, the youth got revelation of the depth of Christ’s love, and the adults were brought back to precious moments when they first encountered Jesus Christ. The art varied from angels around the throne and around us, to a poem expressing the deep conflict Christian youth struggle with today, to a portrait of Jesus’ face that expressed the depths of His sacrificial love, and a beautifully detailed sketch of Psalm 23. The music brought it full circle to our Daddy God dancing with each one of His children.

At the prophetic conference, the first thing I noticed was a 4-5 year old girl alternating prophetic dance with beautifully colored flags. There was purpose in every move and with every color. Jason Upton’s daughter, Emma, (again 5-6?) had such an anointing on her as she prophetically danced on stage while her daddy sang at the piano. Every once in awhile she’d run over to the piano bench and give her daddy a hug and kiss and then continue on her way dancing. He’d put his arm around her in the mist of playing the keyboard and singing. This image will be forever etched in my mind as a picture of Father God sitting on His Throne, being who He is and doing what He does, and totally acknowledging, receiving and loving it when one of His children comes running to sit next to Him to give Him a hug and a kiss in the midst of it all. In the spirit, I saw her dancing with Daddy God. Towards the end of the final evening of worship there was a group of about 8-10 preschoolers who were dancing with Jesus (if you’ve read The Shack, I believe there is a similar scene to what we witnessed that evening).

At KHOP I shared about the kids and the dance. While we prayed, shared what He was revealing, read Scripture, prophesied and sang new songs the Lord again revealed a picture of each one of us dancing with Jesus, bringing the whole thing full circle. I have personally been blessed several times this past year with a vision of myself dancing in the arms of Jesus; tears of deep love are generally the result, and I have truly gained an understanding of what it means to be “undone.”

As one season has come to an end and as a new one begins, the Lord has truly been zeroing in on His children having deep, intimate revelation of how very much we are loved as sons and daughters of the Most High God. He wants to dance with His children of all ages. He wants us to feel safe in His arms. He wants Psalm 91 to be a reality that stares in the face of the unrest going on all around us in our nation and throughout the world. When we truly grasp an understanding of who Christ in us has made us to be – accepted by our Father’s love and safe in our Daddy’s arms – there is nothing that can take that away (Romans 8:37-39). This revelation also solidifies the confidence to approach His throne room of grace boldly to ask for whatever is on His heart and whatever is His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven for each and every day, as we continue to move toward interesting times.

These precious gatherings where we have been so intimately touched with His love and presence have been training His children to understand the depth of His love, our identity in Christ, and developing our ability to see and hear with the eyes and ears of our spirits; building confidence in who we are and in our supernatural giftings (giftings that will be used to edify, exhort and bring comfort to those who need to know the Lord sees, knows and loves each one – 1 Corinthians 14:3). Those who know who they are in Christ, stand secure as chosen sons/daughters, purpose to know and hear His voice and to be obedient to what He is speaking will soon be powerfully released out into a plentiful harvest that needs to know God their Creator continues to love each and every person so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus, to willingly sacrifice His life for each and every one; individually and personally (John 3:16). (He is releasing the same revelation to His youngest saints!)

What an exciting season for the Body of Christ! The anticipation and expectation in my spirit of the most powerful move of the Holy Spirit (the greater works Jesus talked about in John 14:12) about to be birthed multi-generationally, multi-denominationally and multi-culturally (that we may be one remains on His heart – John 17:1) feels similar to being 9 months pregnant and past due (our first child was two weeks overdue so I really do know what that feels like). Since the Lord doesn’t live in time as we know it, however, we can count on Him to not be early (before we’re ready) and for sure never late. While we wait in faith with childlike expectancy of what He is about to do, take the time every day to dance in your Daddy’s arms…remember to continually take time all the days you walk this earth to dance in your Daddy’s arms; His Divine dance has begun. In that place, everything else just fades away, and there’s a world longing to personally experience that revelation.

On Wings of Eagles

The Lord has recently done some amazing and beautifully mysterious things with me involving eagles. Eagles are symbolic for leadership, the prophetic and seeing from above, for the United States of America and for freedom. Every day since “winter has passed” (Song of Solomon 2:11-13), I have returned to my favorite part of each day…going on a 5-6 mile prayer walk to spend time with the Lord in His creation. The first week I happened to glance up towards the top of a tree as a huge bird took flight. I asked the Lord whether it was an eagle or a hawk?” It was then I noticed the white details and was graced with the privilege of watching this majestic eagle catch the currents of the wind, rising and soaring, for about a mile of my walk, until it finally soared out of my visible range. It was the most breathtaking display of this magnificent bird I’d ever witnessed so “up close and personal.” I sensed the Lord speaking to me as the bird reached heights beyond my natural vision, “I want you to keep coming up higher. Don’t look at things on the earth from a natural perspective any longer. I want you to see everything from My perspective alone. Come higher. Come higher.”

The next week I went to MACHE (MN Association of Christian Home Educators) where a book called, “The Eagle Story,” (a necessary book for anyone raising children in this season – Institute in Basic Life Principles, P.O. Box 1, Oak Brook, Ill. 60522-3001) caught my eye. I’m always looking for good resources for family devotion time, however, five of my six children are ages 14-19, and my first thought was, “This would have been a great book for when the kids were younger.” Then I got this little “check” in my spirit, and knew I was supposed to buy it anyway. The next week I pulled out the book and began to share the story contained in its pages with my kids. In a nutshell, the story is obviously about an eagle, and how someone lurking in the shadows goes about gradually making things in the eagle’s environment comfortable enough that it lets its guard down over the course of time and becomes the victim of a trap; no longer free to soar. The book is intended to be a great resource for overcoming temptation and sinful habits. However, the Lord began speaking to me as I read the contents of its pages about the eagle representing our nation and its freedoms under His Lordship, and the trap representing humanism and all of its destructive elements, setting the trap that threatens those freedoms.

I divided the book into several days reading and during each of five consecutive days, I was graced to watch one or two eagles during my prayer walks. On two of the days, the eagle actually circled me for what seemed like minutes frozen in time, as though I were the prey it was searching for, or as though it was trying to speak to me personally. Each of the eagles flew low enough over me that I could see their white heads and tail feathers. On one occasion, after flying out of my sight due to the height of the trees, I reversed my direction and began looking for it again. The eagle proceeded to land on a telephone pole in front of me and waited for me to get closer before flying to the next telephone pole, again waiting, and finally soared off into the distance to fetch its next meal. I shared the eagle story at KHOP (see homepage), and that day some of the children got eagle visions with Scriptures to pray through. One girl, about age 8, got a beautiful new song that arose out of our “pressing in” time that went on for about 10-12 minutes, regarding our nation repenting for its sins and for the Lord to have mercy on us. I believe this is connected to what I’m about to write.

The Lord has obviously had my complete attention since the beginning of this journey (which began with a 40 day fast for the purpose of seeking something I felt He prompted me to seek), but He has even more so peaked my curiosity. I keep getting, “come up higher; higher,” of which that would be an answer to prayers I’ve prayed for many years, but in particular, one prayer I have prayed fervently for several years…to not just read or hear about other people’s “visitations” and “heavenly encounters,” but to have my own.

Last week I asked my kids to seek the Lord individually, as I knew He would confirm through them what He desired to reveal. Later that day my daughter got Ezekiel 17 and my son got Isaiah 58:11-14. (I would encourage you to read not only Ezekiel 17, but also Isaiah 54 and 58 and see what the Lord would speak to you.) Ezekiel 17 is a parable of two eagles…when the Lord is speaking something He confirms it over and over…in our humanness He makes certain that we get the message loud and clear. As I “pressed in” to what the Lord wanted me to understand, I again sensed this was about our nation and how we have allowed humanism to steal our identity and the destiny He intends for this nation. The Lord loves this nation and its people too much to allow us to continue down the path we have been on the past 40-year cycle. This nation is His; He established it and He still sits on the throne, regardless of all that’s going on around us. Those who seek Him, His Kingdom, His will and His purposes need to worship Him in Spirit and in truth…ascending higher…in order to receive Heaven’s strategies for restoring this nation to the plans that our Father God intended for it and bring them to manifest on the earth…through Christ in us, the hope of glory and by the power of His Spirit indwelling and flowing through His people. This nation has belonged to the Kingdom of Heaven from its conception, and the Creator of the Universe has been at its core for far more years than humanism and all of its cultural influences have tried to push Him out.

Back to the eagles…I forgot to mention in the mist of all of this, my youngest son woke up one morning and said, “Mom I had a dream that you were flying on an eagle’s back last night.” I also met with a friend this past week who felt led to pray with me. She prayed some things that only the Lord, my husband and I could have known…all having to do with the eagles. This past Friday on my walk I glanced up in a tall tree and noticed a large nest. I wondered if it belonged to one of the eagles, and just that quickly, the eagle flew above me, again so I could be certain it was an eagle. It circled closely and repeatedly above my head, and as it did I could hear the Lord speaking, “Come up higher…mount up on wings of eagles…I have things to show you…are you ready?…higher…come higher…” I was again graced with the beauty of watching this eagle soar, catching the currents and ascending gradually beyond my vision for about a mile of my walk. I eventually just stood there in the midst of it all and wept…overcome at how the God of the universe would so choose to touch my heart and life…overwhelmed that He would single me out and speak to an eagle just for me…(obviously more than one) in the midst of all that’s going on in the world…confirming to me that my heart’s deepest yearning of seeing from His perspective…seeing from the Throne room of Heaven…encountering Him intimately…being a vessel He could use to bring Him glory and honor…humbled by all of this being His desire for me as well…that He has been preparing me in the natural for what I have longed for in the supernatural…my Heavenly Father continues to get bigger and more incredibly awesome with each passing day.

I also wept over how much He loves this nation and wants to restore it to Himself. I could feel the rejection of a nation that has been given the freedom to choose Him and the gift of being able to walk in more freedoms than any other nation in the world…and yet, we have allowed someone in the shadows to gradually introduce things in our nation over the past 40+ years that have paved the wave for our freedoms to be suddenly taken away. I do not think or sense that it’s too late, but I do know that it won’t be by might or power that we will be restored and rebuilt…it will be by His Spirit alone…and He is looking for vessels He can be mighty through…for those who will have eyes to see and ears to hear from Heaven’s perspective…“Come up higher…I have things to show you. Don’t look at things from a natural perspective, but rather, see them from My perspective. See them through My eyes. Hear them through My ears. Then…watch what I will do through willing vessels who love me wholeheartedly and yearn to see My Kingdom come and My will be done. Come up higher, My beloved. Those who hope in Me will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).”

Multi-generational House of Prayer

KHOP (Kingdom House of Prayer) met today for the first time in a home, in a neighborhood, with a grandma and grandpa, five moms, five teens, and a large number of elementary-aged and preschool kids, including two babies (about 30 in all, minus three more families that plan to join us)…truly a picture of a multi-generational assembly gathered together to seek the Father’s heart in how to bring His Kingdom to come and and His will to bring in our region, our state and our nation.

We sang new, spontaneous songs of praise from the Psalms, thanked and praised Jesus for our forgiveness and for all He purchased on our behalf, in particular our righteousness; through Him we come boldly before the throne of grace to receive mercy and revelation (Heaven’s strategies) for manifesting His Kingdom on earth through us: through Scripture (from all ages), through visions (mostly from the children), through prayer (youth and adults), through song (spontaneous new songs that all joined in to sing), through prophetic acts, and through declarations of His Word.

The Lord used the atmosphere of the room…fans, heat, etc. (including a teaching about going around the mountain the past 40 years) to bring to mind 1 Kings 19:12. As all ages pressed in to His still, small voice, visions began to pour forth from the children about a big river, a waterfall, and the flood gates opening in Heaven, allowing the river to pour out on earth (much like the tsunami Johnny Enlow makes reference to in his book, “The Seven Mountain Prophesy.” The Lord called us to declare Malachi 4:5-6 and release the spirit of Elijah on this generation. In that place we worshiped Him as declared in Revelation 5. We marched and decreed the release of the spirit of Elijah and then sang “Glory” (“Lift up your head, open the door, let the King of glory come in and forever be our God.”)

We concluded by making a prophetic multi-generational circle of unity, where Zechariah 3 (again through a child) came forth, Scripturally confirming a prayer prayed by one of the moms over the children and youth gaining depth of understanding regarding their inheritance through Christ and never letting go. This Scripture exhorts us to walk in His ways and to keep His requirements so that we will be blessed with governing His house and having charge of His courts. We prayed about the release of the seven Spirits referenced in this Scripture (Spirit of the Lord, Spirit of wisdom and understanding, Spirit of counsel and might, Spirit of knowledge, and Spirit of the fear of the Lord), as well and the promise He gave in removing the sin of the land in a single day. There is nothing impossible for the Lord and nothing that He can’t do in a day. He did it through Christ 2000+ years ago and a greater revelation of Christ in us is about to manifest in this generation…suddenly… in the midst of a time when everything that can be shaken is being shaken…everything and everyone except those who have built their house (their lives) upon the Rock that can never be shaken…oh that the sins of our land would be removed in a day!

All this without a worship team per say…only a psalmist and a team of families eager to go deeper with the Lord and pursue who He has called us to be…a Body functioning in His gifts and callings within the context of unity of the generations…family…God’s idea…God’s heart…its restoration in every nation is necessary, but especially this nation, since this is the nation He has called us to be watchmen in. No box, no format, no time limits, no agendas…just being available to meet with Him…to spend time with Him…desiring to be the vessels He is looking for to bring Him glory, honor, and blessing…being available to advance His Kingdom through His higher ways (Proverbs 3:5-6 and Isaiah 55:9, which also came forth through the children).

Matthew 21:13-16, “It is written,” he said to them, “My house will be called a house of prayer”…But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things He did and the children shouting in the temple area, “Hosanna to the Son of David,” they were indignant. Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked Him. “Yes,” replied Jesus. “Have you never read, ‘From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise’?” (Psalm 8:2 adds “because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.”

KHOP purposes to make a place for youth, children and infants to co-labor alongside adults in silencing the avenger; to join the ranks of all generations conquering the “ites” of our nation for such a time as this…to be the generation who knows their God and is able to do mighty exploits (Daniel 11:32). Our God is mighty to save and there is no giant in this nation too large or too difficult to conquer through Christ in us, our hope of glory.

P.S. In February 2009 I had a dream and the Lord prompted me to get up in the middle of the night and write it down. I will not go into any of the details of the dream except for the significance of the numbers 313. I did a Google search and found some very interesting personal applications, in addition to this Wikipedia information: in February of 313 — Conference at Milan: Constantine issues the Edict of Milan, ending all persecution of Christians in the Roman Empire. The details contained serve as an example of the Lord working in a day on behalf of His people, who experienced “sudden” deliverance and restoration. Another example of sudden deliverance and restoration is found in the book of Esther (Tommy Tenney’s recent “One Night with the King” book and movie release); there are multiple similar accounts found throughout the Bible, with Christ’s resurrection being the pinnacle…but that was only the beginning, as the church of Acts, Peter, Paul and Silas, etc. attest. There is an excitement and anticipation regarding what the Lord will do in this generation, as Jesus, the Lion of Judah, who conquered first as a Lamb, will conquer and roar in 2009+ on behalf of the unborn, the orphans (there are no orphans in the Kingdom of God), the family, the poor and needy, and His people all over the world…

The 2008 Christmas Gift!

This morning I received an email from The Elijah List containing an article by Catherine Brown about accessing miracle anointing. Her prayer at the end of the article (Let’s Pray: Father, we thank You for the beautiful message of a little boy and his lunch and the creative miracle working power You released through the prayer of faith of Your Son. Father, help us to be like Jesus. Holy Spirit, come and guide us in our prayers of faith and usher in a global creative outpouring of miracle anointing to win the lost, to feed the hungry, to give water to the thirsty, to clothe the naked, to heal the sick, to deliver the demonised, to comfort the prisoner and raise the dead. For Yeshua’s namesake we pray. Amen. Catherine Brown, Founder, Gatekeepers Global Ministries, Email: admin@gatekeepers.org.uk).) contains words and references to things that recently came forth at our Sunday evening gathering.

At the beginning of the evening I shared and encouraged people to become vessels for releasing the creativity of the Lord through music, art, dance, and creative writing strategies and ideas. I exhorted people to start changing the culture/taking back this nation for the Kingdom of Heaven through the creative strategies He would download from Heaven as we position ourselves to receive them. During worship, one of the women saw a vision of the earth rotating while drops poured down from Heaven. When she came up to share in the microphone she stopped by a drawing easel where our daughter, Jenna, had already drawn what the woman saw in her vision and was about to share. Our son, Josiah got Joel 2:28-29 and Isaiah 61, and the Lord spoke through Jenna that the drops represented His anointing pouring down from Heaven, and we were to be prepared because the anointing is coming and it’s coming quickly. He spoke through her that revival would begin in one place and then spread throughout the whole world…that this would be a revival like no other revival before on earth in that it would continue to grow and spread, and would never end because Jesus would return. A four-year-old “happened” to be spinning around in front of the altar about the time the vision came forth as well (the earth rotating, meaning throughout the earth).

Back to this A.M…the Lord reminded of a word He released last December through one of the kids He often spoke through in our Children’s Church. The boy was often too shy to share…he would write down what the Lord spoke to Him and his mother (who was one of my helpers) would bring the word to me…this particular word was so profound that we made a DVD for the main worship service. (I have included a copy of the word at the end of this article.) I remember being slightly puzzled last year when He gave the word because the boy had written, “The 2008 Christmas Gift!”, in big letters at the top of the page…I remember wondering if the boy had mistakenly gotten the year wrong, knowing 2008 was just around the corner, or if there was more to it than that. I also remember how we all waited so expectantly for something spiritually significant during that season that never manifested in this realm…

I am now connecting many dots and understand that it was the wisdom of God to title the word, “The 2008 Christmas Gift!”, and it wasn’t a mistake by the boy (God doesn’t make mistakes but people often do). We have had another year to live and pray in expectation and anticipation of the Lord pouring out His Spirit (Christ in us) in greater measure throughout the earth (the hope of glory). I’m finding myself more stirred than ever before with excitement and expectation for this Christmas. I believe there is a 2008 Christmas Gift coming that cannot be compared to anything or anyone or described in any words. It can only be matched by the night Christ first came to earth – the first Christmas – many years ago. This Christmas gift, however, will surpass the first, because the first time He came as a child; as flesh; as a lamb; to one location on the earth. His life, death and resurrection then paid the price (the ultimate and final sacrifice as the Lamb of God) to reconcile anyone who believes in their hearts that He is their Savior and confesses Him as Lord…anyone who has Christ living in them through the power of the Holy Spirit…and a greater measure of Christ in us will be poured out ALL OVER THE EARTH (not just in one location) through those who have received the Father’s love as sons and daughters, having been adopted into His Kingdom as co-heirs in Christ, to bring in an abundant harvest for the Kingdom of Heaven; for the King of Kings; and for the Lord of Lords…all for Jesus! Creative anointing and strategies for all the world to see…for all the world to come to the understanding that there is only one God and there is only one way to Him…through Jesus Christ, His only begotten and beloved Son…that there truly is no greater love…it’s all about the greatest love story ever told…the love of our Heavenly Father and the love of His Son for all mankind…isn’t that what Christmas is all about?

When Christ returns at His second coming, He will come as a Lion in all His glory (the Lion of the Tribe of Judah)…He is about to roar through His Church (I am not talking about buildings and denominations) – through His multigenerational Body – and He will take back all that the enemy has stolen from Him, from His Kingdom and from His people…(we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against the powers and principalities of darkness). He will take dominion on the earth (His Kingdom will come and His will will be done on the earth just as it is in Heaven) through His people…through His glory…through His anointing…through the manifestation and revelation of His love…through creative miracles (healing, financial, provision, protection, deliverance, etc.)…through the creative arts and creative strategies…through the Church that He is building that the gates of hell cannot prevail against. He will return for a Bride who has made Herself ready and prepared for the Bridegroom.

To those who have a revelation of His Kingdom: get ready for His 2008 Christmas Gift…get ready for His anointing…His creative anointing…get ready for His glory! Catherine Brown’s prayer, the woman’s vision, a 16 year-old’s drawing, a prophetic word through a 10 year-old boy, many Kingdom prayers released through those seeking Him and His Kingdom, significant words given to so many of His people who are waiting for them to manifest, many Elijah list/apostolic conference prophetic declarations over the past year(s)…connect the dots and be blessed! For now all will (be) and are healed. I am soon coming so rase (raise) up mighty warriors to win the battle that has allready bine (been) won by the blood of Christ. We won and now are going to flood your homes with the glory of me!!!!!
