Throughout the month of July I spent a number of afternoons in a screened in tent (bug-free) out in my yard, purposing to be available to the Lord and pressing in to hear His voice for this next season. It was such an intimate time of Him loving on me and revealing things I needed to know in the coming year; I will immensely cherish those moments and reference them warmly as the winter temperatures approach.

The previous season the Lord has walked us through has imparted greater revelation and maturation of the identity Christ’s death and resurrection purchased on our behalf. One of the precious gifts the Lord wove together in our summer moments was a letter from Him to share with everyone wherever He would send us to minister in this coming season. Put on an instrumental worship CD (a link to “Spontaneous Expressions” is available on this site), insert your name into the following, and feel His presence impart fresh revelation of who you are in Christ Jesus; the precious Son of our Heavenly Father, our Saviour, Redeemer and Lord. I pray that it will strengthen and encourage you, and cause you to rise up in His authority with purpose and destiny for advancing His Kingdom on earth. I also pray that in this upcoming election season, the revelation contained in the words of this letter will empower you to vote for candidates who will lead with the Father’s heart for each and every individual; encourage others to do the same. A LETTER FROM GOD

Dear __________,
Before I shaped you in your mother’s womb, I knew all about you. Before you were born I had holy plans for you (Jeremiah 1:5). Oh yes, I created you, first inside, then out; I formed you in your mother’s womb. Thank Me because you are breathtaking! Body and soul, you are fearfully and wonderfully made! Worship and praise Me because you have been marvelously made! I know everything about you; I know every bone in your body and every hair on your head. I know exactly how you were made, bit by bit, how you were sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, I watched you grow from conception to birth; all the stages of your life were spread out before Me. The days of your life all prepared before you’d even lived one day. My thoughts should be precious and beautiful to you for the sum of them cannot be measured. You couldn’t even begin to count them – any more than you could count the sand of the sea. Rise in the morning and live always with Me (Psalm 139:13-14)!
I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out – plans to take care of you, plans to not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. When you call on Me, when you come and pray to Me, I’ll listen. When you come looking for Me, you’ll find me. Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else; when you seek with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your soul and with all your strength, you will find Me and I’ll make sure you won’t be disappointed (Jeremiah 29:11, Mark 12:30)! I am the Lord your God, and I am with you; I am mighty to save. I take great delight in you. I quiet you with My love, and I rejoice over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17).
I love you so much that I gave my only Son, Jesus Christ, so that believing in Him you have eternal life (John 3:16). For I chose you in Christ Jesus long before I laid down the earth’s foundations. I had you in mind, had settled on you as the focus on My love, to be made whole and holy by My love. Long, long ago I adopted you into My family through Jesus Christ. I took great pleasure in planning this! I wanted you to enter into the celebration of My over-flowing gift-giving by the hand of My beloved Son. Because of the sacrifice of Jesus your Messiah, His blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, you’re free – free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all your misdeeds and mistakes. Not just barely free, either. Abundantly free (greater, unlimited freedom that you can ever understand)! I thought of everything, provided for everything you could possibly need, letting you in on the plans I took such delight in making. I set it all out before you in Christ, a long-range plan in which everything would be brought together and summed up in Him; everything in deepest Heaven, everything on planet earth. It’s in Christ that you find out who you are and what you are living for. Long before you first heard of Christ and got your hopes up, I had My eye on you: had designs on you for glorious living, part of the overall purpose I am working out in everything and everyone. You are included in Christ when you hear the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you are marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:4-13).
I live in you and move in you. I don’t play hide-and-seek with you. I’m not far away; I’m near. I am your God and you are mine. So leave the corruption and compromise: leave it for good. Don’t link up with those who will pollute you. I want you all for myself. I am your Father; you are My sons and daughters (Acts 17:28, 2 Corinthians 6:18). My Spirit touches your spirit and confirms who you really are. You know who I am, and you know who you are: Father and child. (Romans 8:14, 16). It should be clear to you that I love you very much and have put My hand on you – chosen you – for something special (1 Thessalonians 1:4). You are chosen by Me, chosen for the high calling of Kingdom work: chosen to be holy, My instrument to do My work and speak out for Me, to tell others of the night-and-day difference I made for you – from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted (1 Peter 2:9). You are receiving a kingdom that cannot be destroyed, therefore be thankful and desire to please Me by loving Me and worshiping Me with holy fear and awe (Hebrews 12:28, John 14:21).
From the lips of babies and kids of all ages I have perfected praise. Nursing infants gurgle choruses about Me; toddlers shout the songs that drown out enemy talk, and silence non-believing babble (Psalm 8:2) For the time has now come when the true worshipers will worship Me in spirit and in truth. It’s who you are and the way you live that count before Me. Your worship must engage your spirit in pursuing (following or chasing after) truth. That’s the kind of children I am looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before Me in their worship. I am Spirit. Those who worship Me must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their whole selves, and in adoration (John 4:23-24).
My Holy Spirit will lead you into all truth. Because of Me He lives in you. Obey My commandments because you love Me. My Father loves you, I love you, and I will reveal myself to you because you love Me. I will never abandon you as orphans…there are no orphans in Heaven, and through Me there are no orphans on earth. I have always loved you and I always will.
